EvoHub

OpenSearch alerts, routed to the right on-call engineer

Receive OpenSearch alerting monitor notifications. EvoHub turns each OpenSearch alert into an on-call alert, runs it through your escalation policy, and pages people by voice call, mobile push and email.

How the OpenSearch integration works

  1. Create a OpenSearch integration in EvoHub On-Call and pick the escalation policy it should notify.
  2. EvoHub gives the integration its own URL (or inbound address) with a unique key — paste it into OpenSearch using the steps below.
  3. Each OpenSearch alert opens an EvoHub alert, and your escalation policy pages the on-call person — then the next step if nobody acknowledges.
  4. Alerts are opened by monitor notifications; resolve them in EvoHub (OpenSearch sends no recovery notification).

Set up OpenSearch

Create the integration in EvoHub first — it shows your personal integration URL to paste below.

# 1. OpenSearch → Notifications → Channels → Create channel
Type: Custom webhook
Define endpoint by: Webhook URL # important — in "Custom attributes
# URL" mode the ?key= part gets dropped
Webhook URL: <your EvoHub integration URL>

# That's it — the DEFAULT action message works as-is
# ("Monitor X just entered alert status…").

# Optional: for richer structured fields, replace the monitor's
# trigger → Action → Message with this JSON
# ({{ctx.xxx}} parts are OpenSearch variables):
{
  "monitor": "{{ctx.monitor.name}}",
  "trigger": "{{ctx.trigger.name}}",
  "severity": "{{ctx.trigger.severity}}",
  "message": "{{ctx.trigger.name}}",
  "period_start": "{{ctx.periodStart}}",
  "period_end": "{{ctx.periodEnd}}"
}
